Samantha Jade ft Pitbull - Shake That

It has been 3 years since we first saw/heard of Australian Samantha Jade and she is back with vengeance with new single 'Shake That'. A pure pop song, it has a catchy chorus which is defiantly memorable and is a track you want to listen to over and over! (I had it on repeat pretty much all day) The song was written and produced by the same team behind  Jessica Mauboy's hit single 'Can I Get A Moment' and with the inclusion of Pitbull, it is clearly hopped that this single will also be a huge hit.

The lyrics are more 'girl power' than anything with it saying that even if a girl likes to dress up and have her hair done, it isn't an invitation for a man to get something it is simple calling them out for thinking it. The line 'If you just want one hit, I guarantee you'll miss' shows this.

I personally love this song as it is catchy and more importantly, makes you want to dance and sing along! The most important part of a pop song!I can see this track being played all summer long and going far in the charts. Her awaited album 'Angel' will be released later this year.

If you just want one hit
I guarantee you'll miss

Little Mix - Black Magic

Release Type - Single
Release Date - 10th July 2015

The Little Mix girls are back with a brand new single - Black Magic!
On first listen, it doesn't have the same instant appeal as some of their other singles, but give it a few listens and you'll be hooked! It is pure 'bubblegum' pop that is sure to dominate the radio airways this summer with it's bouncy beat. It's chorus is undeniably catchy and you'll be singing it all day long without a doubt! This is defiantly where the track soars with all four of the girls coming together and driving it forward. It is a fun track that is also clearly aimed at cracking the US market, along with soaring in the UK charts.

I love the single cover too. It is fun image to match the track and clearly shows the girls friendship and also goes with the video. The font used for the title is unusual but matched the track name as it is sort of 'witchy'.

Black Magic is defiantly a track that grows on you and it is a solid 1st single from their upcoming new album. Could their next album be the one that turns them into worldwide megastars? Black Magic is a promising start!
